ATI problems - read this first

Recently, I got an ATI 9500 pro retail at $110 us, thinking I had scored a deal - wrong.
The darn thing would not install. Period. Anyway, I found a useful link for anyone about to make the mistake of buying an ATI product.
Check this one out! http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/8596/
OK. Let's say that I am Borg, looking for someone to assimilate. My ship is made by Ford, riding on Firestones, with an ATI forward viewer.
I encounter a far smaller Federation battle cruiser that had Goodyear rubber and Nvidia powering the
main viewer.
Guess who wins? It ain't me!

I'm going to chalk that analogy up to it being almost 3 AM on the east coast rather than you being on drugs.

urgh ... it's like in old math classes and you have to answer questions with Not Enough INformation (NEI)

you don't have anything to prove it's YOUR FAULT.

Is there some reason you felt you had to start 2 separate threads about the same subject? LINK

For what it's worth I'd have to say the battle would come down to the pilot's skills. Same way with the person installing the video card. It's not always the fault of the hardware. Sometimes it's a PICNIC error...

I'de just like to say that has to be one of the worst analogies I've ever read. If your creative writing is on the same level with your hardware knowledge I'de have to guess you screwed up.
