Author is questionable at best. Orton should have had his walking papers the day the deal was signed. He wasnt a good CEO at ATI.

Anyways the deal has been done for ~9 months. How credible is it for promotions to have been handed out in a quantity to determine ATI people are being passed up?

I think those people left, simply to cash out. There were no hard feelings. They just waited out the sale and took a fat check to leave. When you buyout a company many executive positions become redundant.

I would bet many old ATI people are happy to be working on new AMD products.

Wow, imagine that. The employees of a company that got bought out are bitching about their new parent company. This must be a first...

If AMD is not allowing the ATI teams to be as innovative as they have been, then shame on them for ruining competition in another sub-industry of computers; that would be hypocrisy at its finest.

However, promoting ATI workers less is obvious - if Ruiz knows AMD colleague's performance more, why should they NOT be promoted more???
