Hey guys, I am stuck in the middle of these two card and I need some opinions or views on these two cards. Now I have done my research but I have yet to see any in game screen shots for the ATI X1900XTX.

So Lets start a conversation on which one is better.

ATI X1900XTX
NVIDIA 7800GT

7800GT is not the top-o-the-line nvidia part while the x1900xtx IS ati's top of the line part. A better comparison would be the 7900GTX and the X1900XTX. The X1900XTX is said to be the superior card as far as IQ and it edges the comparable nvidia part out performance-wise in most games. Basically if you got da cash get the ATI card IMO.

Out of those 2 the ati is faster, yet the nvidia one is cheaper.
 
nvidia and ati are both good in their own ways.

for example, i think that nvidia is better because they have better drivers, cooler running/single slot cards, better values/best bang for the buck cards (7800GT/7900GT), and so on.

ati is good because of their higher iq, better AA in games, HDR+AA "chuck" patch in oblivion, cheaper ultra high-end card (X1900XT/XTX is cheaper than 7900GTX), high end cards beat out nvidias offerings somewhat.

but personally, i would go for nvidia because their drivers are a HELL of a lot better and theres no bloat included with it.

I feel an ATI vs. NVIDIA flame war coming on.

on topic. The x1900xt is much better, but that's like comparing apples and oranges.
 
The 7800GT is like half the price of X1900XTX...they aren't even competing in the same league.
 
It's all good, man.

I used to prefer NVIDIA. Now I prefer ATI. But they're both good.

Buck the system, go with Matrox, 3DLabs, or XGI! hehehe!
