ATI or Nvidia?

Don't bother with the nForce4-SLI if you are getting an ATi card. Just get the nForce4 Ultra. The performance is the same, the only difference is no SLI support. What a shame since the X800XL doesn't support SLI anyways.
 
I read a few reviews somewhere a while back and a couple of testers said the ATI cards had better overall image quality than nVidia? I don't remember where it was now but they testing the 6800nu, 6600GT and 6800GT, which is what I have been looking at. Can anyone confirm if this is true or is it some kind of slanted marketing hype?

I remember years ago ATI was supposed to have the edge, but that was back when nVidia's hot card was the GF2 or 3.

the X800 series had better looking AA/AF (slightly) the the 6x00 series. but the 7x00 series is much better in this respect as well as being faster.

i do remember reading at tom's hardware that ATi did seem to have better DVI outputs for more acc signal. not sure if that has changed on the 7x00s.

Well I get that ocasionally
Just remove paragraph by paragraph to check which paragrah is the problem
You can always edit it later
