OK After using the (ASUS/Nvidia 8800GT-1GB) now for over a year and putting up with the "Little Things" that have annoyed me since day 1 - such as random crashes and slower than expected performance and erratic driver performance.
I find myself wanting a video card that will play nicer with the other toys.
The MoBo Literature suggests ATI Crossfire 200 series, but I want to avoid the Heat Noise Power issues associated with SLI and also believe there is a better card out now than a year ago. I've got to believe there is a comparable ATI Video that will play nice today for less than the $225.00 I spent on this card.
You might notice I have tried to use mid to Higher end parts in this rig so staying along those lines would help though I am not really concerned with the bleeding edge of performance now. Games are pretty simple stuff now Quake Wars ET, Crysis, etc. so I think many of the midline cards would work I just don't know where to start in ATI since I haven't used one in a Looong time.
Suggestions would be welcome since I need a Christmas preasent that will make me smile for the next year or so...
Thanx
