Does anyone have experience running an ATI and Nvidia card in the same system, are there impossible driver conflicts?

I have an old ATI dualhead PCI(non-e) which used to control 2 monitors fine in a system with the hydravision etc ATI softwares... now that system died but the videocard is still ok

If I add that ATI PCI card into another system already running a Geforce AGP card, will they work together? 1 monitor on the Nvidia AGP, 2 on the ATI PCI?

I don't have any experience running both....you shouldn't have any problems as long as Windows does its job and manage the stuff.... However, this is all dependent on your motherboard chipset. Some will work, some may have problems. Hit or miss....that's all I can say.

Its a bastard VIA chipset kt333 which was a hack of kt266a to take faster ram if I remember right

But I think it will recognize the PCI and AGP cards together, I'm more worried about how Windows and ATI+Nvidia drivers will handle it

you will see a civil war, and your computer will die...
