ATI mobility x600

I was wondering what a safe overclock for an ATI Mobility Radeon X600 is?

What damage can i do if i push to far and how can i tell if it is stable?

Laptop Video cards are tricky to overclock since they are barely sufficiently cool as they are stock. Even if you do manage to get a minimal overclock it may not do much to increase game performance. I have an x1400 (which i believe is slightly better than yours) and I manage a slim overlock on it, but I really have no need to push it farther than it is stock.

I have the Mobility X600 in my Gateway MX7527 running at 525\279 (stock is 400\260) using ATI Tool.

Thanks for that I have the MX7525. Do you have anything extra cooling it and how stable is it at that speed? Also i have the memory at 280, is that about as far as it goes?

It's perfectly fine playing WoW with in-game settings maxed, and it's just sitting on a glass desk or lap. You'll have to see what's stable on your system, overclocking is always a crapshoot at best.

Ok so cooling wont be an issue too much then, especially if i have replaced the thermal compound with arctic silver. I managed to do 450\300 stabley was just wondering what makes a bigger difference when overclocking the core or the memory speed?
