I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed.. but this sounds pretty damn neato.

Hopefully it will apply to older ATI cards.. Another 10 or so FPS across the board and I could run at higher settings and avoid having to buy a new ripoff graphics card for a few months.

From what I've read, it's only applicable to the x1k series cards because it's the programmable memory feature that is being improved; older cards won't see any performance gains.

Actually they say because of the improvements they had on the X1K series of cards they might be able to get more out of the X8XX cards also.
 
I heard it really only works with AA/AF on..and it's AT MOST a 30% increase. So it might not be as good as it seems.

Still, it's rather impressive to see drivers do this.
 
This thread's drivers suck, the other thread about the same thing on the first page of the video forum says 35%... This one only says 30%. Whats up with that? 🙂
