ATI linux drivers?

on their site they have drivers for XFree 4.1 and 4.2 but i have 4.3
is it safe to install the 4.2 drivers or should i wait?

Using the Schneider-digital drivers on R9500 Pro with RH9 and it works fine...

Well, other than I need to get kernel 2.4.21 because there's a conflict where I get a lockup after a few minutes of playing 3D games. According to lots of people with the same problem, getting a kernel above 2.4.20 (which is what I have now) fixes this problem...

Also, to franguinho, the file that you need from there is called glx1_linux_X4.3.zip - since you use the FireGL drivers to run the Radeon cards in Linux! 😀 (Radeons were built after FireGL in the first place, so the technology has the same base arch.)

i dont really game in linux but i tried the penguin sledding game yesterday and it was a slideshow, which was ridiculous... ill try these !
