Just built a new box (specs below) and ran into an interesting bug. I've looked through the forums a bit and seen that it's not ATI specific (seen some 8800 users with the same issue).
Issue: Card works fine using Windows standard driver using DVI cable, install ATI drivers and the monitor goes black. Switch to a D-Sub cable and my picture comes back.
I've seen the following thread(DVI - HDMI Issue) But I have not seen any one come up with a work around for ATI cards. Is there a similar work around or am I SOL until ATI figures it out?
Would love to hear some thoughts on the issue, thanks in advance,

Comp Specs:
AMD Phenom 9850
MSI K9A2 Plat
2GB Kingston 1066 Ram
Sapphire ATI 3650 512Mb DDR3 PCIE
Windows Vista
