Hi guys, I'm in quite the predicament. I just installed Media Center Edition, and the DVD won't work for some reason. Some one told me i need to Install the ATI DVD decoder from ATI's website.

Problem is It requires the original ATI cd,, NOW,, i have the Original ATI CD from Sapphire for my x1900xtx. BUT the loader says it is NOT an offical ATI CD. WTF do I do now.???????

EDIT:

OK got it to work, installed DOA object from ATI..

NOW i'm looking for a good RF remote for MCE

Ok, i just installed THe ATI DOA driver portion, and Blam it worked... NOOO FREAKING CLUE HOW/WHY/I HATE MICROSOFT..

Ok, so thats solved, Anyone know of a good RF only remote that works well with Media center??

What's DOA?

Normally, it means "Dead on Arrival." 🙂

Personally, I prefer PowerDVD.

Indeed. I suppose it was a transposition of DAO MDAC (Data Access Objects and Microsoft Data Access Components) for MMC (Multimedia Center). I haven't messed with that schtuff for years and likewise just used PowerDVD (then MPC, though the PDVD codecs are still useful).
