ATI dual screen issue

Ok the card is installed with the right up to date drivers, I have disabled the onboard video.

Here is the problem, lets say I want to move IE from the main monitor to the second monitor I have to hit the middle button at the top right of the screen the one with the two little windows in it, if I dont I cant move anything to the other screen,

Oh BTW its the ATI X1050 agp card.

Anyone have a clue why or how to fix this.

Thanks,
Renob

That's the way that the Windows OS works. You have your minimize button, your maximize button and your close button. You can also double click on the title bar as well. It's nothing to do with your video card.

Are you saying that an app-window that isn't maximized can't be dragged from one monitor to another?

I've been running dual-monitor with nvidia cards for 7 years, never even heard of something as silly as this. Typically span mode allows all kinds of dragging, window resizing, and other associated GUI manipulations. Even dualview using 2 different resolution monitors works fine.

Are you using the OS driver or the video card driver? I'm pretty sure I was able to run a dualview type setup with an ATI laptop chip a couple of years ago. Is this some sort of multiple desktop issue?

Don't think so...

That icon is only present with maximized windows.
