ATI Dual Graphics on NForce4 Ultra-D

Currently I have a HD 2600XT and running it on a DFI NForce4 Ultra-D. Is it possible to buy a second card and run crossfire on the chipset?

According to AMD/ATI, Crossfire should work on any dual x16-slot mobo. I've never heard of anyone actually getting it to work on an Nforce 4 chipset, however. Also, the 2600 series are poor candidates for a multi-GPU setup.

but i guess i can run software crossfire maybe? if i switch the jumper on the motherboard, i will get PCI-E x8 lanes for the two cards. I just was looking for a cheap way to increase my performance in games.
