ATI drops prices on video cards

Senior member
firingsquad reports on new ATI pricing.
Effective immediately, Radeon 64MB VIVO graphics board features an ESP of $199, while the Radeon 32MB DDR graphics board now has an ESP of $149. Both the Radeon VE Dual Display 32MB DDR and the Radeon 32MB SDR (PCI) at an ESP of just $99.

I just looked around Pricewatch, MySimon's and manually gone through the
usual cheap sites.
Anyone know where these prices are reflected?
I want the VE model bad 🙂 ...
ATI's site still has it listed for $119

You might want to check buy.com. I was able to get the 64mb vivo for 177 shipped after 30 coupon

I'm catching on to the VE craze as well. Some sites are selling it on-line.

Anyone tried it? I've been running dual-display for over a year now and WON'T go back. I was planning to go with a GF2 MX in my next system, but the VE may pull on me. Non-WIndows support? Anyone? Bueller?

i ordered my radeon 64mb vivo from ati trade up program ( ordered it yesterday) for $327.85CDN after taxes and shipping. so its about $280CND after $50 MIR. Thats about $180US.

The card is alright, but it is of a much lesser quality then the retail For one, it does not have HyperZ (which enables it to perform better at higher resolutions where memory bandwidth is a limitation). I would just wait a month or so. NVIDIA is expected to announce the launch of their new cards on the 27th. This is only a rumour and has not been confirmed officially, but my money is on the fact that they will. The new line of cards will prob retail around 500-600. This is also unconfirmed, but past card prices would make this a reasonable assumption. You prob won't buy the card cause of the price... On the plus side it will cause prices on other NVIDIA products to drop in the near future so a GeForce 2 Pro may be a good bet in about 2 months. My advice to all is to wait if you can and if you can't go with the Radeon 64 meg card as it is more feature packed then anything else out there... You can still get them for 155 after the rebate....
