ATI Drivers Help

Ok my video card is being really annoying. I cant get it to install any drivers on it at all. I have driver cleaner and used it. I try to download the ones from the internet and use the one on teh cd that came with the card, but it always says i need a basic vga driver or something. Any ideas on what to do?
 
ok i reset computer back a day and now it does what it used to do. I have the driver from the cd installed, i run the driver cleaner, and install it with virus scan off. It will install right but when it restarts it screws up and i have to go back to last good settings. what do i need to do? its ATI Radeo 9500 pro if that matters
 
ya sorry about that but im just getting mad at this stupid thing. i have no idea what is wrong with it. The first time i tried to install the driver that came with the card it screwed up, and its just gotten worse since then.
 
just downloaded monitor driver and it said i was better off keeping the ones i had now. So i guess its not the monitor. Any other ideas? It worekd fine more my friend the first try that makes me ever more mad. we have the same vid card except miens pro and his isnt. he never installed from the cd though so i think thats why it worked. just went strait to the one from the internet.
 
ya i did everything that post said and it still didnt work. Im starting to think ill just need to reboot my computer and start anew. I really hope someone comes up with a better solution cuz i dont wanna have to do that.
 
ok i got some aticd wiz and it tells me my cd, the one that came with the card, is not a valid ati cd. how does a cd that says right on it ATI not work? any ideas will be greatly appreciated
 
HAHAHAHAHHAHA THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!! Im sure everyone else here was born knowing how to build a computer and make it work perfectly, i forgot!
 
hey are there any files that i need that i cant get online? i realyl dont wanna use anything on the CD it gave me if i dont have to.
 
Ok i reinstalled windows and it still does the exact same thing. I install the driver, and when it restarts the computer it screws up and crashes. Then i have to go back to last good settings to start up again. Anyone have any idea at all? My friend did the exact same thing and his worked perfectly. Could it be a bad video card?
 
can you try your buddies card in your system ? and yours in his ? sorry if you said you tryed already , the "reinstall windows" to truly get rid of the old drivers was going to be my next sugestion. too bad.

I don't think so. It's just a game made by homestarrunner based on his character trogdor!!!!. Good stuff. Have you gotten to the parade of trogdors yet?
