Ati crossfire with Intel e6600

Hi,
I want to build an intel e6600 system with an ATI crossfire graphics solution. I can't seem to find a mobo that supports this. I'm new to crossfire/SLI and have read a few articles on it. Do you have to buy an AMD mobo if you want to do crossfire?

Thanks for any info you can give me.

P.S. I didn't know whether to post here or mobo/cpu section, sorry if it's in wrong section.

All 975X boards that support C2D will support Crossfire AFAIK. There are a lot out. Some of the 965 boards support it too although performance is pretty poor since one card is running at x4 through the PCI-E slot.

I recommend reading this forum in order to gain a better understanding of which boards offer the fewest problems (as all C2D boards seem to have at least a few). If I were going to buy a new board right now I'd either get the Asus P5W DH or the Asus P5W64 WS Pro (although this board is ~$300 right now). Otherwise I would wait for DFI's RD600.

I highly recommend my mobo ASUS PW DH Deluxe..
It's a little bit expensive but it's well worth it.. Amazing mobo

If you decide to go for it just look for the 1.03 revision
