Hi to all here at AnandTech.

Grateful is someone could point me in the right direction regarding the New ATI control panel that comes with the Cat 3.1 drivers. I am pretty comfortable with the OpenGL and 3D settings in the control panel, but the below setting i am not sure about.

Not sure what should be disabled or enabled here re: DCC and DirectX overide. My resolution is set at 85hz 1024x768

many thanks... This setting

I THINK, that DDC, gets the monitor information, such as max res`s & refresh rates, from the monitor itself, and not the drivers.
DirectX override, overrides the refresh rate settings in Direct3D Games, so you`re not stuck at 60hz.

Thanks BoomAM, for the welcome and the reply.

If i understand you correctly, i should enable say DirectX overide to say the desktop resolution. ie 85hz. Should i enable the DCC or disable that?

Thanks anyway, appreciated.

DCC should be enabled. Set the Override to whatever you find is comfortable and is supported by your monitor at the highest resolution you will use for games.
