I'm just curious of those who got the x800pro from ati.com got a vivo addition? I did some searching but I just wanted to confirm the percentage of people who got the vivo addition.
 
I got one; it's not a VIVO and the hardmod failed. 🙁

It still gets 5600 in 3Dmark '05 when overclocked though, which is close to a stock X800XT.
 
I got a nonvivo aswell and I couldnt hardmod it either. I used a Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit and although it diddnt unlock the other 4 pipes i got massive artifacting immediatly. I read the instuctions on the kit again and it says not to use your defogger for atleast 24 hours after using the kit so maybe it just needs time for a proper connection, I dont know, but with overclock I get the scores in my sig which are close enough to a XL for me.
 
Which version are you looking for?

I had the PCI-E version. It was a VIVO, but it couldn't be modded ... had the laser cut.

Sent it back and got a GTO2. 😀
 
Only the VIVO AGP version can be modded . . .

You won't get VIVOs from ATI directly most likely . . . most X800Pros are not VIVO and most of them that are VIVO are from Partners such as ASUS, Powercolor, or Sapphire . . .
 
I searched around, but couldn't find any e-tailers offering the vivo edition. Where can I get my hands on one of these?
