Well virge wanted me to start a new thread to discuss this . I didn't know how really without including larrabee. So this is it . I didn't include Havok physics in the title . But I would like to include that in the subject. So long as virge has no objections to it.
First we all know larrabee is going to beable to do RTR. But some may not know it but the 4870x2 can also do RTR. The latest ruby demo is raytraced .

Now this isn't about who does what better.
Its about 2 companies both X86 going down simular paths. Both can do RTR both will have Havok physics. Both have Fabs. Both will have complete platform designs.
But ATI is here now and cinema 2.0 is exciting . So much so Larrabee could go off my wish list. Ya you heard me right.
Now larrabee really gets exciting with the introduction of sandy bridge and AVX as The CPU and GPU work more closely together in games. I envy the fact you guys will get to play with those toys. But I am happy for ya.
Now I really don't care to see 1 NV comment in this thread as its offtopic
