ATI Changes Its Logotype

WTF???

I kinda liked the old one, the new looks like something I could make in MS Paint.

Seems like that's becoming a trend, just look at the Centrino logo.
Damn, would suck to get a notebook with both the new ATi logo and the Centrino one, first thing I'd do would be to scrape them both off.

Lol if they gave me something with the new logo on it i would never know. Not exactly a drastic change there.

Well.. the old one was a little more original, but the new is more readable. Someone that has heard of ATi but hasn't seen their logo would clearly recognize what the new one says.

Couldn't they put in smaller type "ATI Technologies" or something under the old one kinda like the 'Powered by ATI' logo?

ATi's marketing department was concerned that people couldn't read all three letters in the old logo.

So? Blind people don't need GFX cards anyway 😉

RANT: I agree about the Centrino logo.

What is with that new PINK and blue Centrino logo? This effeminate logo looks more appropriate on a feminine hygiene product than on some computer product. I can?t help but think this logo is the product of some women at Intel who just don?t get it. Men don?t wear/use some of the more effeminate things/colors like women do. Give your young boy some pink pants or a dress and see if he?ll wear them to school. No problem for a young girl. Like men want a nice ? lovely little pink and blue heart ?. (I think I?m going to be nauseous) on their laptop. This is a complete insensitivity to the general tastes of men. Thank goodness these women were not designing the laptops ? ? pink laptops now ? how about pink and baby blue mouse?s for everyone.

I read somewhere that the logo, ? ?featuring a striking magenta color and a completely new shape,? ? suggests flight, mobility, and forward movement. My, such forward thinking, I suppose us men are to try and get in touch with our feminine side. It?s childish.

Well I say ? pathetic.

I'm sure that the people who designed the Centrino logo know a little bit more than you do about color and shape meanings 😉 And relax - having a little pink in the logo of your notebook won't hurt your masculinity. Perhaps you preffer the muddy AMD logos - stick with those then 🙂.
