Hmm well I`ve one big problem, refresh rate is stuck at 60Hz at desktop,I`ve tried everythhing, setting it to 85Hz in CCC and monitor tab, rebooted, installed monitor drivers etc ...still no go,using BNC cable btw,if I don`t fix this soon I`m going back to 4.10s.I did use Driver Cleaner as well.

Crap, they released 4.11 and the are Omegas are still 4.10 beta! I wanna use these drivers! I wonder how much time it'll take for the 4.11 Omegas to come out.

I thought this was included in the 4.10, wasn't it?

Why don't you try RivaTuner, Rage3DTweak or Multires? All of them are good for such problems.

Mem, this is what i usually do to fix that problem each time i update to the latest catalyst. In the Settings->Advance tab. Under Display tab, click on the monitor you want to change, disable DCC and select the maximum refresh rate.

Already tried that, weird thing is CCC and monitor tab report setting at 85Hz or whatever refresh rate res I select but it`s stuck on 60Hz both physically(by my eyes) and by my monitor OSD button refresh display rate.

I`m going to try 4.11 with old CC .

UPDATE: Fixed the problem, installed old CC and it`s fine so looks like a refresh rate bug in the new CCC.

PING,thx for your suggestion anyway,if anybody else gets this problem with the new CCC,use the old CC 😉.

The problem was even my desktop was stuck at 60Hz let alone refresh rate in gaming mode, anyway I fixed it,see my previous post, besides the ATI one has never let me down before.

Looks like I`ve confirmed there`s a bug in the new CCC, taken from Rage3D forum.

I bought a DELL P1110 21" Monitor couple of weeks ago just downloaded the new 4.11's with CCC after installing gone to set the refreshrate fix, and found it doesn't support my monitor, no matter if I install the DELL monitor driver use plug & play or default monitor. So I installed the drivers with the standard control panel and the refreshrate fix works. This is the first time I've used the CCC on this monitor so Im wondering why does it work when using the standard control panel and not when using the CCC.

The Omega 4.10 betas are actually newer than 4.10. They are betas that came out while 4.10 was already in Microsoft approval. They are in-betwen 4.10 and 4.11.

Neone benched d3/far cry/ 3dmark03/05 on the 4.11s- if so, what sort of improvements?

I've got a 9800pro 128mb, damn it would be kinda nice to have a 256mb, but when i bought they were ~$600AUD whereas i paid $420 for the 128mb, and at the time given the pitifully tiny fps advantages of the extra 128mb there was no way it was worth it 😀

More info on refresh rate problem with new CCC and non DDC monitors using BNC mode.

Link ,weird you have to install old control panel first ,after set the refresh rate and then install the new CCC after,I never had a problem with 4.10s CCC and refresh rate.

Well, back to 4.8 for me. I installed 4.11 and had the same problems I've had with 4.9 and 4.10; they won't extend the desktop to my second monitor on the AIW 9600XT. I would like the increase in performance, but my secondary display is more important. Time to email ATI about it and complain (not that they care). Anyone else had this problem?

Hi ppl...

well i have some 'serious' problem and i'd need some help -of the guys that managed to download/install it correctly...

let me just type my config:

CPU - P4 1.5 GHz
RAM - 768 MB
HDD - 120 GB
OS - WinXP Pro

after i downloaded Catalyst 4.11 (29.9mb on dial up😉 ) i tryed to install it. Yeah i do mean... TRYED! Cause when i ran that installation, everything went nicely.. After i rebooted my comp i got this message!

http://www.familiaclan.com/GOD/Image1.jpg

ok i thought... maybe i did something wrong. Then i tryed to do it again... my steps:

1. uninstalled everything via CP -add/remove programs
2. cleared everyother file by using -Driver Cleaner 3

Now i tryed to do it again... and again same message. Then i found out that ATI drivers were installed correctly and that that message is connected to ATI Catalyst Control Center! Then i tryed to uninstall just ACCC and reinstall it again... and again, same thing! Tryed to 'repare' it and 'modify' it... and again, same result!!!

If ANYONE have some normal advice, would appriciate it!

TY guys...

take care
