I have a GA-P55M-UD2, heard the mouse cursor bug is especially bad with Gigabyte boards. I could reflash it, especially since it has a back-up BIOS onboard, but I don't know, everyone else works fine, and I don't want to screw with the BIOS if I don't have to. Maybe I should try it on the weekend.

I have a P55A-UD4P, with an ATI 4890 and I don't have the issue.. Hmm

Installed 10.4, seems the same as 10.3a.

i did a performance analysis with the following 19 games & 3 synthetics
- 10.3a vs. 10.4:

* Vantage
* Far Cry 2
* Crysis
* F.E.A.R.
* Unreal Tournament 3
* Just Cause 2
* World in Conflict
* Call of Juarez
* Batman: Arkham Asylum
* Left4Dead
* Lost Planet
* Call of Duty 4
* X3:Terran Conflict
* Enemy Territories: Quake Wars
* ARMA2
* H.A.W.X.
* Battleforge
* Dirt 2
* S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Call of Pripyat
* Resident Evil 5
* Heaven (Unigine) 1.0 & 2.0

i'll quote myself: :p

"The only game that we tested that showed more than a slight improvement was Just Cause 2. Conversely, World in Conflict showed a decline in performance with Catalyst 10-4."

:( dang big cursor bug.

I just barely got a new dell laptop, researched the problem, and found out that ATI driver, of all things, are causing it (why does a video card driver have anything to do with the cursor besides displaying it?)

Updating to a newer version of the driver helps, but it still comes back after long periods of usage.. :(
