The ATI Radeon 8500 is the first card I ever bought from ATI. I'm not disapointed with the way it is, but i'm disapointed at how ATI has their "oem" versions have a 4 plug s-video plug while the "retail box" one has 7 pin s-video plug. I was not aware of this until I recieved the S-video to Composite plug I ordered from ATI's Online store. They had no mention that it will be 7 pin and that is the first time I've even seen a 7 pin s-video plug.
What I am looking for is an ATI brand 4 pin s-video to composite plug. The reason I say ATI brand is I read and witnessed that if you use another brand the picture will be black and white. On mine I don't even see a proper picture when I use the plug from my Voodoo 3 that came with a svideo to composite plug. The screen is black and white (more black then white) goes off towards the left, and on the right you see swigglely lines. You can't even make out a picture really. It looks some-what scrambled.
I've searched In yahoo and only really found one place that sells different ati standard plugs but I'm not sure if any of them are 4 pin. They have a plug that turns from 7 pin to 4 pin so it can hook into a tv's svideo plug.
I really need some help, anyone know any non-brand plugs that will work on an ATI? I've tried one from Radio Shack and it was the same thing but in color, really bleached gamma and still off to the left with the swiggley lines.
Thanks guys.
