Best I can say is that having to install .NET is mildly annoying. If you can't manage this (which involves clicking "Yes" a few times), I'm not sure you're cut out to be upgrading your own PC.
Having to use Driver Cleaner to actually get rid of NVIDIA's drivers when I swapped from an NVIDIA to ATI videocard was... let's just say it was more annoying than running an installer. I seriously hope NVIDIA has fixed their driver uninstall capability since then, since it used to flat-out not work at times.
Incidentally, .NET 2.0 is supposed to be better than .NET 1.1 (supposedly makes CCC not take ages to start up the first time you load it, and has less impact on system startup time). I'll give it a shot the next time I upgrade my drivers.
