ATI AM2 Mobos?

I'll be building a computer for college within the next month or so, and I've been waiting for ATI AM2 mobos, specifically with RD580 and SB600. Abit, Asus, and MSI all have what I want, just not on the market yet.

Does anyone have an idea when they'll be available? Anandtech said end of June for at least one of them.

We have the MSI and ECS RD580 AM2 boards for review shortly. Should be in retail in about a week or so, the bios tuning took a little longer than expected before production release of the boards. Performance is quite good at this time. 🙂

As I prefer AMD over Intel, I'm planning to go with AM2 rather than Conroe.

In reference to this article, my intended plan is AM2 with Athlon 64 and a single X1900XT, then when AM3 and K8L come out, step up to that, and upgrade mobo, cpu, and memory one at a time, and possibly go Crossfire (if not earlier). Does this sound like a good plan?
