It says

"Image shown is for display purpose"

???? Aren't ALL IMAGE made for display purpose????? What are they trying to say? That the card we receive might look differently?

Yeh, there might be a smiley sticker on top of one of the capacitors.

Is this not a hot deal? I'm looking for a PCI-E video card for my new setup. I do some multimedia editing, and play some games too. As long as I can play the latest games like HL2, Doom 3 at a good framerate, then I'll be happy. For this price, to get an AIW, seems pretty good to me.

IMHO, a 6600GT would give you better performance for less money, especially if we're talking about PCI-E.

Yeah it's a bit confusing, this is a middle of the road GPU from ATI's PCI-Express cards.

It's simple. In performance:
x300 SE PCI-E = 9600 SE AGP
x300 PCI-E = 9600 non-pro AGP
x600 Pro PCI-E = 9600 Pro AGP
x600 XT PCI-E = 9600 XT AGP
9800/9800 Pro/9800 XT AGP (no direct PCI-E equal, but it is around x700 Pro speed)
x700 Pro 128/256MB PCI-E (no direct AGP equal, but there may be an AGP version soon now that ATI has announced shipping of AGP x800 XL cards)

:p

Nice breakdown there, pxc. Thanks:)
