ATI all-in-wonder closed caption using s-video?

I have an ATI AIW 9700 pro and i am running my Directv receiver to it using s-video and composite for audio. I am using windvr as the software. In windvr the closed caption option is greyed out. I am wondering if anyone has a similar setup and is able to get closed captioning.

I dont know if its a software restriction or if its a restriction with the card itself. I can get CC if i hooked up the box via the coax (yuck!) cable, it works fine with that.

Don't have a DTV IRD to use, but my set top DVD recorder transfers CC fine via S-Video. I have a 8500DV AIW using the ATI MMC SW.

I just installled MMC to try ATI's TV program but it crashes when i try to start it
