ATI all in wonder and Satelite TV?

I have direct TV and just received my all in wonder. will it receive signals from the Satelite or must it run through the decoder box and have the channels changed by the box remote.

You've got to run it through the reciever, uunless someone makes and sells decoder software for hte PC (and I've NEVER seen it, I'm 99.995% sure it doesn't exist)

You're probaly right! I would talk to ATI though to see about that.

Sorry, it has to go through your decoder box. There's a "smart card" in the DirecTV receiver that controls what programming you are authorized to receive. Unless you can find a way to jam that in your PC, you are out of luck. The receiver also has circuitry to energize the LNB on the satellite dish.

Oh well, thanks anyway. I've jammed a lot of things in my pc but I think I will hold off on that suggestion. thanks.
