ATI AIW Radeon 8500 128 MB $200

I believe it's a mistake, Circuit City carries the Radeon 8500LE 128 meg and the AIW 7500, but they do not carry the Radeon 8500 AIW, but I'm still going to check it out. In fact, the e-mail from circuit city did not list AIW at all, but the amazon e-mail did...
 
I have called Amazon and the guy said that he thought it was actually the AIW 8500 128MB but I should check with my local Circuit City to be sure. I called them and the guy says that they only sell the AIW 7500 and not either of the AIW 8500's. The model number listed on the Amazon page matches that of the Radeon 8500LE on Circuit City's page. As much as I wish this would work, I cannot see an AIW 8500 128MB resulting from this since I have not see one in an e-store yet.
 
I just called my local store and the sales guys "verified" that it was the AIW 8500 128 MB. So, WTF, I'm going to see....

No mention of the AIW from Circuit City. I'm pretty sure they've screwed up. I go to pick mine up tomorrow. I'll see if I have to complain and get a credit back to my card.

Have 4 CC's in my area........none carry the AIW. If you check the sku number from Amazon vs. the one at CC, they are identical w/the exception of "CCS" at the end of the CC one. The CC website info shows a picture of an 8500LE, and makes no mention of the features found with an AIW. In the description, however, it reads "All In Wonder".

This is clearly a case of being a typo.... Don't even bother getting your panties in a bunch over this.:disgust:

Let the crying and moaning "I'm gonna sue/I'm gonna file w/the BBB-FTC-MOM/Wonder if I can PM this?/etc...." begin!

The item number 100-431023 found on cc page is for the 8500le version. 100-710030 would be the product number for the AIW. Good luck anyways
 
i ordered one, 128mb 8500 all in wonder from amazon. Then got confirmation to pick it up at CCity. Got up there. they tried to give me a 8500le. I bitched and moaned. Then they tried to chump me off with a 7500 all in wonder. I said not acceptable.

They refunded my money and gave me a $50 gift card for the mix up. They do not even carry this card. I bought this going by one of these hot deals in here. Wish you guys would confrim this and check it before i have to drive around and waste my time.
 
tedine 1 if you had spent ten seconds to read through the thread you would have realized that that it was a typo. Consider yourself lucky that you made 50 on the deal.

I like to complain. The person posted this know it was a typo. I was just being a smart ass. I sent 2 of my friends out and they got the $50 cards too.

Now that was a hot deal.
