The fan on my ATI AIW 9800 Pro is dying and I need either a replacement fan or a complete cooling replacement. I know the 1st thing people will suggest is AC, but on their website, I don't see my AIW card listed as compatible. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

If you have an AIW 9800, then the VGA Silencer Rev.3 is the one for your card. It can be found here for $13.50. It's not bad. I have one. But, I use it on a CPU now.

how did you get it to fit on your cpu?
I have the same cooler (VGA Silencer Revision 3) on my 9800pro. nice cooler. great price.

a better solution(cools better) is the vf700 from zalman, but some people have problems installing it with some slearance issues(it's really really big.) it cools better and has ramsinks though for a higher price.

There are many variations,
a red colored one, dubbed the fata1ty(zalman vf700cu with red paint)
a led version(cu and alcu)
and the normal versions(cu and alcu)
http://www.zalmanusa.com/

they all come with ramsinks and the alcu ones are part aluminum and part copper. the cu ones are full copper.

pri9ces range from $25.99 for the cu version to $49.99 for the fata1ty version.

the advantage of the vf700 si that yuo can also switch it to a future card when you upgrade(it fits most video cards on the market, unlike the artic silencer.
