ati aiw 9800 at circuit city

Plus a radio frequency remote of course. Don't forget that.

And a $199 video card is non-upgradable part as well, so I don't quite get the point. As is any standalone tuner. At least this combo holds it value pretty well compared to a plain videocard or tv tuner by itself.

eeesh, it's not bad ... but it's still a $100 non-removable/upgradable TV Tuner ...

Some people want optimum spacing in their systems.
I personally would prefer separate cards too, though my Radeon AIW served me well for many years.

Does the 9800AIW have dual outputs ?

A video card is upgradable/replacable ... 😀 lol, that's what this is ...

the point is you can buy a TV tuner for less than $100 and it will be separate from your video card...so you aren't forced to get a new tv tuner, when you want a video card upgrade...

but for shuttle boxes, etc... this is def. ideal and a good price ...

as far as I know, AIW 9800 Pro has only the DVI output + VIVO connections. It does not have an extra VGA connection for dual-monitor support.

My 9700Pro AIW has DVI and VGA out.

I hadn't noticed ATI offered this now. I haven't upgraded my Multimedia Center in a while. ATI's site mentions that future releases will support "Powered by ATI" video cards, so I hope that comes soon.

Actually I have two of these for two shuttles and due to what shuttles says is a voltage leak on the video card, on some revisions P/N xxxxxxx-10 and -12, the power supply shuts off when you hit the power button. And from what I can tell that is most of the cards...
