Ati 9700 pro fan replacement

Today my BBA ATI 9700 Pro's fan died, and I need a replacement quickly.
My biggest problem is that I live in Argentina, so I can't send my card to Ati, and buying a new card is out of the question.
Luckily I have a relative in the USA who will come this month to visit, and I want hom to buy a replacement fan, so here's the question:

Does Ati sell replacement fans? If they don't, qre there any other fans I could buy to replace the broken one?

Thanks in advance,

Nacho

I don't know of any specific places that'll just sell you just 1 fan, but Perhaps you can order an aftermarket cooler for your 9700 pro. It'll replace the whole fan and heatsink.

Just find a place that'll ship worldwide 🙂, or maybe a local place in Argentina.

This might do the trick.

Unfortunately, It is out of stock, and I'm not sure if they'll ship outside of NA. You should be able to find another vendor that'll sell it. I am pretty sure this product will work, but you might want to double check with other sources.

Goodluck.

Can you just oil the fan? Google for "dans data oil fan."

Otherwise, I guess you might want to replace the whole cooler with an Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer v.3, or one of those new "half-moon"/"Deathstar" Zalman GPU coolers. Getting the stock HSF off might be a chore, though I'm not sure there's a way to replace the stock fan without removing the whole HS, anyway.

I have no problem buying the fan on the USA, my brother lives there and he's coming this month to visit.
Any recomendations on good stores to buy aftermarket coolers?

Meanwhile I'll try Dan's data oil fan solution...
