No 9500pro has L shaped memory no chance to mod to 9700.
Only some 9500np has it and some can mod to 9700.

They only have _1_ in stock. Good luck.

Suggestion for the future. It's a good idea to check stock before posting a Newegg refurb deal, especially for video cards. Just add the refurb item to your cart then up the count to 99. They have a real-time inventory so you will see exactly how many they have. If they only have a few then don't bother posting cause it will be gone in a few minutes.

9700 has 256 bit interface but 9500pro has 128 bit.
Only some 9500np has 256bit ram.

How do you know how much is in the stock?

Never mind then. I JUST bought a 9700 pro for 130 off newegg. Check it out here-, wait never mind, already out of stock.

Feel lucky? You pay return shipping when NewEgg sends out junk. Bought four "refurb" video cards in the last year, and two had to go back.

I believe I nabbed the last one. Semi impulsive buying decision though I had considered the 9500 before. I figure with the rapid development cycle of these cards and the new model line coming out soon, paying $200+ for more speed wasn't worth it. I was thinking of trying to nab a refurb or a used card to get the best bang for buck. Hopefully it works ok out of the box and maybe, maybe it will o/c a bit. Throwing heat sinks and an artic cooler on it won't violate a warranty since it doesn't have one. Worst case... it's crapola and I RMA it for credit towards a 9800 pro which hopefully will drop to $200 or less soon.

My 9500 non pro modded to a 256 bit memory interface and then clocked past a 9700 Pro.

For those of you in the Bay Area this guy on Craigslist has some new Retail Ati 9500 Pro for $130. I ws going to get one after I confirmed that he had them but picked up a 9800 at Compgeeks. Just an FYI.

you add to cart then when you are looking at the cart put the quantity to 99 or so. when the page refreshes it will either be at 99 still meaning they have atleast 99 in stock or it will have another number which is how many they have in stock.

Also 9500 Pro's Cannot be modded to do anything but to overclock if you flash the bios or use omega drivers.
9500 np's can be modded to 9700 series if it has L shapped memory. 9500 np's with in-line memory they can be modded to 9500 pros's. Mind you both of these mods are ussually less than 50% likely to work.

A followup on the $100 9500pro refurb.... I received it on Monday (ahead of estimated delivery). It came w/o any cables or extras, not that I expected any. The card looked brand new, but unfortunately it was defective. It produced a checkerboard distortion when doing any games or benchmarks regardless of several drivers , bioses , and computers I tried. Fortunately after a call to Newegg they agreed to refund the full cost, so I am only out the $7 shipping fee. They shouldn't try to resell it but if you happen to see a refurb 9500pro listed for $100 or less at Newegg beware ! This may work out for the best because just after I put my order in for this card I found out about and pre ordered an Xtasy 9800pro 256meg card during that $217 Amazon.com deal. Hopefully this fantasy works out better than the last one.

I thought at the very least an L-shaped 9500 NP would mod to a 9500 pro?

A followup on the $100 9500pro refurb...Part 2....Well I mailed back the defective card only to find that my Amazon order for the $218 9800pro 256meg card has been cancelled this evening :C. Now despondent I took another swig from the Newegg refurb jug and ordered a Sapphire 9800pro 128meg for $156. Now I tell you if this card is a dud then I am in refurb recovery .
