get this. my dlp lamp went out on my samsung 61" tv mon. yesterday my wife tells me that we have to have a replacement by weds afternoon so I ordered one from electrified.com. It was $140 for the bulb and $73 for shipping. It's waiting on my porch right now. That poor dlp bulb went to 2 different locations in CN last night, then Illinois, then dallas, then houston, then victoria, then out for delivery to my house, all between 5pm yesterday and 8 am this morning. I guess I got my $73 worth...
hopefully the problem is really the bulb and not the tv.
YIKES! thanks for the warning. this has the entire assembly so I should be gtg. I've already changed it once on my 4yr old tv and once on my mom's dlp, too. Fortunately I ordered the entire assembly both times so I just kept doing that. I think that it's worth the extra couple $$$ to not have to worry about real explosions occuring in the tv...Originally posted by: Matt2

Make sure to wear some gloves when you handle that bulb. The oils from your hands will heat up and the bulb will explode.

Does the DX10 mode in Hellgate: London really have better IQ and performance yet?
I recall the developers saying some such thing.

Anyone know if the 7.11s are usable for an AGP X1950PRO? I'm still on 7.2 and want to update them.

Well the IQ is much better in my opinion. The water on the walls and in pools on the ground just look awesome and there is a slightly more crisp look to everything.
The performance feels about equal to DX9 (maybe slightly better) I think, but it is most definitely not worse.

Performance is slightly worse with DX10 on my rig
-i had to lower some details [shadows to med/no AA] to equal DX9 performance
frankly, the water at the bottom of the tunnels looks more "realistic" in DX9, but DX10 has the cool shadows and particle effects and smoke
and damn is this game getting *hard* on nightmare level ... my Summoner gets pitted against demons 10 levels above him ... it takes all 11 elementals Plus the Enraged Creature to take down a single NPC ... in about 2 minutes [better hope his friends don't show up]

That's funny, I was just thinking I should able to bump a few settings up in DX10. I also love the look of the water and smoke, and just the overall environment now.
Anyway, going to roll my Summoner tonight and see how it goes...
Good luck with nightmare!

no .. i had to lower some ... the water now looks too "shiny" and the ripples are all wrong ... DX9's water is clearly superior [understated like real "water"] ... the *rest* of the DX10 effects are subtle and make little difference imo [is there motion blur?]
and i am putting it away - today ... Nightmare is stupidly hard ... *tedious*
... unless they patch it and respec it, forget it
hoping for a Hg:L expansion
--my final verdict on Hg:L:
7.8/10 for SP [4/10 for MP]
fun and addicting but flawed ... badly flawed
