What if I do both?😉 Best of both worlds. Or as Charlie Sheen would say I'm bi-winning. I win over here and win over there. Lol. 🙂

Good for you.

How about this, I would rather make 2 extra mortgage payments EVERY MONTH than to go nuts spending money on GPU that gives me very little graphic improvement.

: D

I'm just waiting for the next leap in Graphics. When and if that happens I MIGHT...just MIGHT build a new rig with a sweet GPU. Doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon....

In all honesty, there's nothing wrong with saying 512 bit memory bus. Every 256 bit memory bus on every card today is actually a combination of multiple lesser bit buses. The 6990 has effectively double the memory bandwidth of a 256 bit bus.

Good point but I still find it abit misleading.

To be fair..... ONLY 1 card maker out of 5, have it as 512-bit, PowerColor.
ALL the others say only 256-bit.

AND...

when powercolor says its 512-bit, they show it like this:
snip..512 (256 x 2)-bit...snip
^above is how powercolor marketed there card on newegg.

I dont think its unfair.. it has (256 x2) as a explaintion, which is true, it does have 256x2.

When you claim something thats truthfull... its not really misleading is it?

First Charlie Sheen quote in the Video Forums , 'winning', -ah duh ? lol

I hope his public rock slide ends soon.

So how many 6990's you think newegg had ? 100 -110 ?

Not sure but i feel bad for those who bought one. The card had no "Value" compared to 6970's in Xfire

It's clearly a 7800 512 availability card. Although that was available for 3 days or so when it came out so this one is worse.

Doesn't look like a paper launch to me, every time I check with e-tailors there's at least 1 card in stock and if I was in the market for one of these I would have one on the way to my house.

Why? It's 200 dollars cheaper to go with a pair of reference 6950's and unlock them
