ATI 4750 Preview/Review at Guru3D

Read a very interesting review for the new ATI 4750 at Guru3D. The performance came out just under a 4850, and the expected price will be <$100. Look's like the new king of budget video cards, and with a MIR or decently sale-priced, we could be looking at this ~$80.00.

The most interesting thing to me was the respectable performance up to pretty high resolutions 1920x1200. Also, the card was doing this with only 128-bit memory bandwidth. ATI opted for GDDR5 instead of GDDR3 to counteract this change. I was suprised to see the 6-pin power connector, but I wouldn't be suprised to see a GDDR3 version out clocked a little lower with no external power needed.

The card looks very compact and the cooling is a very simple heatsink and fan design.

Nice card!

Edit: Oops! I even did a search (apparently not a very good one at that) and there was an existing thread, as linked to from AstroManLuca:

A repost, as noted by the OP and AstroManLuca
