What brand is the PSU? If it's an el cheapo that may be the problem. Have you looked at your CPU temps through MBM5, it's also posible you have an overheating chip due to an incorrect install or faulty HSF.

Yep. Most likely a heat issue. Try opening your case and pointing a room fan into it. If the lockups disappear, check your CPU fan for proper installation.

PS will do that too. just RMA'd an ANTEC380w that was doing the same thing. 2000xp on a soyo MB . worked fine untill trying to play 3D game. then it would hard lock. went nuts for a day swaping parts untill i got to the PS (last thing i tryed of course).
good luck

The Athlon64 HSF mounting is almost idiot-proof, and they run much cooler. Based on what I see, my guess would be cheap memory, bad timings, or PSU insuffient. What PSU are you using ? More details on the memory ? Several people her have had problems with marginal memory. Believe it or not PC3200 is the MINIMUM and is not recommended by me at least for this system. They do run cool, but you need a very good PSU and memory to supply the monster with power and bandwidth to run correctly.
