AthlonXP Mobile 2400+ overclocking, how high can I go?

I recently bought a new AthlonXP mobile 2400+ Barton with stepping AQYHA, and I'm looking for some feedback on what kind of results others have gotten, and whether this is a good chip or one of the not-so-good ones.
Specs of what I got:

nForce2 ultra 400 chipset
true330 Antec PSU
Geil PC2700 DDR memory
Thermaltake Volcano 11+ HSF with swapped fan to make it quieter (pure copper)

Any more info about my rig is in my sig under SYSTEM

Any ideas how far I can take this? I also heard that the mobiles take higher temps than the regular Bartons, is this so?

UPDATE 2:

Now running at 2.31GHz, about 200x11.5 @ 1.675v BIOS, actual around 1.625v, temps are at 50-52 degrees C load, ~ 46-48 idle.

most chips and boards will do 200x11 without any issues so you should get that at least thats 2.2 GHz, some will do 2.4-2.6 on air and up to 2.7 on water

my chip is AQYHA also and im gonna see what it can do when i get off work, it sitting here looking at it right now and it NEEDS to be installed

Wow cool I put it in and played with it, haven't tested its stability fully, but right now I'm running at 200x11 2.2GHz at the default voltage and hasn't crashed yet. Temps are like at 105 degrees F (45.5 C) and my old 1700 I had OC'd ran at 115 F (46 C) so I'm sure I can get more out of it

hehe my mobo boots up and says "unkown CPU type" guess it doesn't exactly know what a mobile is :D

Update:

Now running at 2.31GHz, about 200x11.5 @ 1.65v BIOS, actual around 1.625v, temps are at 114 degrees F (~ 46 degrees C). Is 1.65v still considered safe? Can I take it any higher without overdoing it?

1.65 volts is stock for that core...remember, they call it a mobile, but really it's a desktop chip that's been cherry-picked to run at that voltage. Most people have no qualms about running their mobiles at 1.75-1.8 with good cooling.

Once you start to get above 50C load, though, you probably shouldn't overclock much more.

Low 50s under load should be fine, but yes, you should probably stop overclocking once you get around there. Your chip can safely take around ~1.75v before its life expectancy starts dropping. You should be able to hit 2.4ghz on 1.7v, which would be pretty nice :)

last night i was messing around with mine and it will do 218x11, 2.4 GHz @ 1.7v core and 2.6 ram with the ram set to agressive, im afarid to do anything more agressive to the ram cause i killed a 512 stick last night, RMAd it to crucial today
and i dont wanna kill teh one i have left

it also booted into windows at 218x11.5 2.5GHz 1.825v 2.7v ram, might npt have been compleatly stable, super pi woudl give me errors, im gonna try 215x11.5 later tonight and mabye 210x12, i wanna see if i can get it stable @ or around 2.5, my temps right now 11x200 are 34C CPU and 38 C Case, yea for vantec tornados thermalright HSF and sweet lian li cases

OK so my temps are good (I figured they were) So I should be able to get to 1.75v without a problem. It would be cool to get it to 2.4 or even a little higher :D I'll post back once I see what more I can get

I wish I had CPU temps that low :)
My 2600+ mobile is OC'd at 216x10 right now, and idles around the low 40s :(

Avalon - what heatsink/fan are you useing?

reason mine is soo cool is because im ueseing a SLK-900a with a 80mm vantec tornado, and my room has an AC unit in the window

Well I can't get any higher for some reason :( I seem to have gotten it stable at 2.3GHz 200x11.5 @ 1.675v, temps are like 50-52 degrees C at load and around 46 degrees C idle. 1.65v seemed like enough but then for some reason it crashed and rebooted, so I bumped it up a little to see if that helps. but I guess 2.3GHz is better than 1.8GHz like I was running with my old 1700 Tbred A

sparky, you shoudl be able to run you FSP much higher then that, try it at like 210-220, up the ram voltage to like 2.8 or so and if you dont have PC3200 or faster ram use a FSB lock,

mine is 215x11.5, but i lock teh ram at 333MHz cause it doesnt like it going real high

The RAM shouldn't be a problem since the speed of it at the current settings are default, and at 210 they only go to 350MHz which it ran at with my old 1700 T-bred. How do you lock the RAM? Mine seems to go by multipliers so if it doesn't work out perfectly then it goes slightly higher.

I did try it at 210 and I couldn't get it stable. Half the time it wouldn't make it fully into Windows. and looking at current temps I'm afraid to go higher with voltage and all, I don't want to overdo it (like some of those guys who run theirs at 2.0v and temps are like at 60 degrees C, that just can't be good on it)

to lock the ram you change a bios setting, on my shuttle board i have an uption to "sync ram at a % of teh FSB" so if the FSB is running at 200 i sync the ram at 83% so it runs at 166, the higher you raise the FSB the percentage changes

I've got high temps because I had to send in my nice Lian Li case for replacement...which I'm still waiting on
so currently, my mobile is sitting in my spare junk steel case with no ventilation, and I live in Florida so it's very warm around here (and no one seems to like air conditioning very much in this house)
my HSF is in my sig, but it's not the problem...when I had my good case, I was able to run mobiles in the 2.4's and still idle at what i'm idling now, and I'm barely OC'd at the moment (216 x 10) :(

???? I turned my computer on today and for some strange reason it is running like 8 degrees C cooler than yesterday! Why would it do that???????? Strange. Room temps haven't changed any since yesterday (well, may a degree or two, but.......)

Could my RAM actually be holding me back some? I mean, the FSB is at 400 now, with a 1.66 multiplier to have it at 333 for the RAM, but, since the core speed is 200 instead of 166, maybe it is technically overclocking the RAM? So maybe the CPU isn't holding me back?

What thermal compound are you using? Some of them have to "cure" before becoming fully effective. If you want to know details, I'm sure someone knows more about that than I. I still use Arctic Alumina because of two reasons, 1) it is cheap 2) it cleans up easy.

hmm i had my 2400xp-m at 200x12 before at 1.9 vcore with 512 pc2700 corsair ram
and it wasnt stable on prime95.. it would get errors in like 20 mins or watever..
but right now im running 166x13.5 @1.75vcore and have been running prime95
for over 40+ hours and still going

It just says "Heat Sink Silicone Compound" and "SIL MORE Taiwan" It is just the stuff that came with my heatsink when I bought it. It has seemed to work fairly well with other stuff
