AthlonXP-M processors?

One of the laptops that I've been looking at (Sharp Actius MC24) has an AMD AthlonXP-M 2400+ processor, and I was curious about how much heat these can produce, and how they tend to do with battery life in comparison to Celeron M, Pentium M, and PIII-M chips. Any good?

Not sure on that model but I have an HP NX9005. The laptop has 2x256meg and an xp-m 2200. I get a bit more than 3 hours on that.

get a low voltage and not a dtr and you'll be fine. they use more than dothans but less than p4s if you get a low voltage one

Super low heat and relatively nice battery live. But if you're going for battery life, a ULV Pentium M is the best choice. Like a 7W TDP or something like that.

The Athlon XP-M did run warm, but my gf had an XP ze4000 series that got 3-4 hours on an 8-cell batt (standard). Respectable performance too. They're not as good as the Pentium M, but I would say close to Celeron M. Not a bad choice either way
