How well does the processor said above generally overclock? Do they all overclock quite well since they're T-Bred B's, or only some?

they should overclock just as well as the 1700+ t-bred b's
most people just get the 1700+ cause it is cheaper

that would be my guess as well
about the same as 1700+

also, get 1700+ cuz its a bit cheaper
spend saved money on a good heatsink and fan ;)

The thing is the local store I buy from doesn't have 1700's. Only 1800's. If I ship one from somewhere else in Canada, the end price would be about the same as the local 1800. If I ship from somewhere in the states I'll probably pay much more than that. So yea... doesn't cost too much more anyway. =) Thanks

I know sandermax in Langley had 1700B's in stock last week, vibe computers usually has them, and uniwest did have some a few weeks ago, may still.

I've got a 1800+ on a MSI K7N2 doing 2.1ghz (10.5*200) at default voltage with a $7 heatsink/fan & original Samsung PC2700. I'm hoping it will go higher but K7N2 is limited to 200mhz. I'm going try this cpu in NF7-S this weekend with a couple of PC3200 & a thermalright. I'm hoping it will reach around 2.2~2.3

Why don't you just raise the multiplier? I thought the multipliers below 12.5 on those were unlocked? Or is it only some motherboards? Does anyone know if it would be unlocked with the KT400? I have a Gigabyte GA-7VAXP motherboard.
