Yeah, I noticed they dropped the X2 3800+ and 4200+ price.
Guess they are taking their time on the others.

A little higher than Mwave and monarchcomputers.com too. :
Maybe i'll see if they still have them instock over there.

Interestingly, the 4800+ has dropped to $499 (from $600+) while the 4600+ remains $547. So at the moment, the 4800+ is cheaper than the 4600+.

in a few days all K8 prices will plummet. I am waiting to see how Conroe pans out. Things just got even more interesting now that AMD has acquired ATI. After 5 years and 8+ Athlons, it may be time for me to go Intel.

mwave keeps getting them in stock and out of stock, so you'll be refreshing all day.

i'm surprised newegg's is $199 for the 4200+. That's $10 more than mwave.
hmmmm, decisions, decisions, i'll wait it out this week and see where all this goes.

danny~!

It might be time for me to get back on the 'fast computer' bandwagon.

Does anyone have a link to a cheatsheet with the various processor lines and performance? It's been a while since I paid attention; I don't know the differece between an X2, and AM2, and an R2D2 any more.

In a few months... if you buy now, you maximize the time you will have it at this price, which means less buyers remorse :)

Computer stuff always gets cheaper. I have an 1.1 athlon that I'll sell you for $15...
