The guy is lazy and his test suite sucks, but Sands of Time is a good representation of how well the A64 scales, another 20fps is excellent but how he determines that is only a 10% difference leaves me

Looks like a nice chip... now if they didnt price them rediculously high id consider buying one... Its right up there with the EE.

Exactly... it's right there with the EE, so AMD doesn't have to price them any differently... that's their target market. Of course you COULD get an A64 that's only outperformed by 10% at the most and costs over 50% less. And allows you to use your current RAM... :D

The EE comes out ahead marginally in most of the benches. Kind of like a dead heat in performance and cost.
Just doesn't make sense to buy either P4EE or AFX. I'll just have to make due with my "puny" prescott. LOL.

What a horrible layout! My god... can the charts get any smaller and harder to read???

Jeff, click on the graphs to enlarge them.

I know, but it's not necessary... look at AnandTech's graphs... clear and easy to read, and no need to enlarge them. (although I did like the design before this one better)

Tell us how it performs! I have a A643000+ running 2.4ghz (600mhz HTT), and 1gb of OCZ PC3200 @ DDR400, let's do some bench comparing!
