Athlon64 blues

I predict that the Athlon64 will go the way of GeForce FX chips. They have been talking about it for sooo long, they forgot how bad the product is. I will now prepare myself for the barrage of cussing that is going on in your head. Anyway this is a prediction and will (I hope) probably be wrong. I do want AMD to win after all.😀

Hmmm, something doesn't jive.

Dual personalities? Better watch out!!! Might start having flames wars with himself. 😉

I think that's actually a quote from a Weird Al spin off of "It's all about the Benjamins" ... maybe that wasn't his intention, maybe it was, but that's what I thought of when I saw it.

AMD rules! And not just 'cause they gave me a free processor. The one Intel gave me is in a keychain.

Exactly.

I did not mean this as an AMD vs. Intel flame war. I am mearly stating that it has been on the shelf or choping block for a while. I also think that 64 bit buses will not fly (At this time) if Intel does not make a 64 bit "for the masses" chip too. They also need help from HP, Dell and the like. This is a problem because most of them favor Intel.
Any ways... Why do all of you care what I think. I don't.

The Opteron launch went well. I don't see why anyone would doubt the Athlon's performance given its big brother's performance.

Really. The Athlon 64 is basically just a Opteron locked into Legacy mode, and should be a stellar performer. I can't wait to run the 64-bit version of UT2003!
