Athlon64 3200 + Soltek K8Tpro 939 OCing PROBLEM..:(PLz help

Ok , everything form the very beggining :
So i got this new mobo(K8Tpro) form soltek and new procc (AMD Athlon64 3200), and put it all together, was working fine..Then i read couple of articles and figured out i could squeeze a lilbit more out of this procc, I was tottaly new to OCing ...so i followed instructions and overclocked with stock cooling up to 2200mhz right away - 10 x 220 fsb, without touching memory or voltage, and it worked perfect i am sure it would go further. BUT then i figured out that my bios wasnt showing right CPU temperature(all the 939 soltek bioses have this temp glich), so i decited to flash it to newer version 1.4....After flasing the bios teperature readings was right , obviosly all the settings were default, so I overclocked my CPU again like last time, Windows loaded up ok , but NOW evey time when i am trying to play any game, it stops responding after 3 - 5 mins of playing or doesnt even load and restarts PC by itslef...starting windows and tellin me that somthing was worng with a graphic driver...If I clock my CPU on stcok everything works fine ..

I am really frustrated here , and i dont feel like flashing bios back, b4 it worked perfectly now i cant even OC by 50mhz....if any1 had expirenced smth like that plz help !

You answered your own question there bud, if you have it stock and it runs fune but if you try to OC it locks up?

What kind of memory do you have?

You might need to loosen the timings, I had to before I even got a stable 200mhz overclock and now im at 2520 from a 1800.

Also you might need to give your memory or proc a little more juice if the timings dont help you check the voltages.

i have 2 x 512 kindston 3200 @ 200mhz , and its strange that it would overclock with no problem with old bios even without chamging timings or voltage ...dont you think so?

True but did you run memtest and prime with the old setup? I had mine at a 2.7 and i was all excited everything ran perfect, then i ran those test and failed miserably. Soon after WoW crashed and I had to lower my clock speeds back down.

ok ill try to run mem test ...well what would you advice to do towards succesful overclocking?

Maybe try rising fsb like by 5 for the beggining?

I just figured out pretty sad thing, In new version of BIOS(W 1.4) for SL-T8KPRO-939 mobo, AGP/PCI lock doesnt work properly(or doesnt work at all)...thats why my video card keeps screwing up...
Damn..do you think i should flash it back or just wait till new one comes out ?

Thats not true at all!!! I have the w1.4 BIOS and I have 3000+ @ 2250.1 X9 HT at 800mhz in BIOS Idea temp is 40c clocked right now at 250 FSB at 1:1 CPU volt is 1.424 Im going to go abit higher in a few. I have PDP PC 4000 mem and its running very fast. So something else is wrong with your system not the board. Oh and by the way the AGP/PCI lock works just fine with the 1.4 bois. Confirrmed by Sisoft!!

You just have to lower your HTT speed. Try 800 MHz.

I also have this problem. I have to put the LDT at 400 for it to pass a 3DMark2005 test, but Couter Strike: Source still freezes, this is very strange stuff, I dunno what to do....
