I'm about to upgrade my system from a P3 1Ghz to probably an AthlonXP1900. The tough part is deciding on a mobo for it. I have been looking at the Asus A7V333 and from all the reviews it looks like the board to get, but I look an here and there seems to be alot of people having problems with it. Any opinions on this board or any others that would make a good board to get? Thanks.

Just in case, I will be running:

Windows XP Pro
SB Audigy
Geforce2 GTS

I am predominantly a gamer, but also do music production as well. I'm not too concerned with overclocking, but if the board will handle it well, why not? ;)

i would get the epox 8k3a or 8k3a+(raid)

its the same chipset as the asus a7v333... and its currently the fastest socketA chipset you can buy

I can vouch for the Epox 8KHA+ it`s one great board for gaming which I do a lot of & stability is excellent, good choice for OC as well(I`m also using a SB Audigy /XP PRO with GF2 Ti card). The Epox 8KA3 /8KA3+ are also good boards if you want DDR333 (PC2700 ram support),so my vote is for the Epox boards.

im in your position and i am going with the asus. sounds like a great product, and i have never had a problem with one of their boards before. if you are going to oc, you might want something else - i have never oced mine.
