Hello all...I have a question for all of you overclockers. My system setup is an Athlon XP 1800 in an Abit NV7-133R, which I know isn't great for oc'ing. I decided to try to OC it. In the CPU set up menu I set the FSB up to 147MHz, that was all I could get before Windows wouldn't boot. Then, I tried setting my CPU voltage to "raising" (which is the only CPU voltage adjustment in my BIOS) to take up the voltage 0.05V, I could then get my FSB to 149MHz, effectively making it 1713.5 MHz. Anything after that and Windows would bitch at me before loading. I originally had a stick of Crucial PC2100 RAM, but it died a while back on a different computer, so I went out and picked up a stick of PNY, which had Infinion chips on it. I'm waiting for my Crucial memory to come back. Would using the Crucial memory allow me to go to higher FSB speeds? Or should I just go all the way an unlock it?
