I'd say either the ECS K7S5A or the Biostar M7VIG. Both boards support either DDR or PC RAM. Both have onboard sound and LAN. The Biostar adds very decent video from what I hear, so you don't need to get video card right away. The Biostar is a Micro Atx board though, so you only get 3 PCI slots and a AGP slot. It doesn't really matter though if you use the onboard stuff.

There is a thread going around on the Biostar M7VIG and if you haven't heard about the ECS K7S5A, you've been living in a cave.

Just checked my order status. My online order shows the correct price of $80 shipped (tax for CA).

Heh I was going to do that. But when I saw the price I knew to order IMMEDIATELY. I didn't think it was a price mistake, but I did think they were going to run out of stock.

Same here. I was more worried about them running out of stock because once these deals hit, and this is a hot one, they have a habit of going OOS in a hurry.

BTW.. Mine still shows as $69.99 on the web site. They better not change it. At least without telling me about it first.

Checking out this place called Fry's everyone keeps talking about. We don't got any around here in Washington. Found this deal in the clearance section at Fry's Outpost web store
