Athlon XP 1500 vs Thundebird 1.4 Ghz

I want to buy me a Athlon XP instead of a Thunderbird because my case is small and don't have a lot of aeration and I don't want to see my processor burns by playing to Max Payne!

Then, I want to know if the XP 1500 (1.33 Ghz) has similar performances as the Thunderbird 1.4 Ghz or the 1.4 Ghz is much better?

The XP is about 20$ more expensive that the Thunderbird 1.4 Ghz. Do you recommend me to but the XP 1500 instead of a Thunderbird 1.4 Ghz?

Thanks to anybody who will give me a answer!

In all the XP reviews I have seen, the 1500 outperforms the 1.4 T-bird by about 5% or so, and supposedly the Palomino core consumes about 20% less power. Therefore, I would personally go with the 1500, but first you better check and see if your mobo if compatible w/ XP processors. If not, the T-bird is your obvious choice...

I would definately go with the XP processor beacuse it runs alot cooler then a 1.4 T-bird does and also the performance is better too. I would personally team it up with a Kt266A chipset mobo

I don't even like AMD that much. I think you should get the XP. I wouldn't team it up with anything but the latest chipset. though.

I just got the Athlon XP 1500+ and really happy with it. Maximum power for the XP 1500+ is 60 watts while the Athlon 1.4 is 72 watts.
I got it mine to run at 1500Mhz buy setting FSB to 150 at default voltage.
