If you have any news or info, please post here!

Well, I'm too lazy to get the links to back up my statements, but they're well known.

1. Thoroughbred is supposed to be out by Q1 next year, which means March.
2. Thoroughbred will get a die shrink to 130 nm.
3. Thoroughbred will probably debut around 1.83GHz.

Here are my predictions: Thoroughbred will have a 166MHz FSB, 333MHz DDR. It will also have more L2 cache.

I'd agree with AGodspeed.

Only thing that might be questionable is chipset support for DDR 333. ALi has a chipset out already, and I'm sure others will follow. And they may not put more cache on the chip right away at the first release.

Well, I certainly hope so. We already know the Northwood will have 512 L2, the Tbred should do likewise if AMD expects it to keep up.
DDR333 should be there too, for both platforms. Memory makers are already sampling the stuff, the spec has been approved, all we need now is to hear from VIA, Intel et al...

Thanks for your contributions guys:)

I like your question Jserv.

When I first heard that AMD would be sticking with the Socket A architecture ('til Hammer anyway), I was gratified, but now I realize that it doesn't matter. You need new chipsets and new chipsets mean new MBs.

My MSI K7T266 Pro w/ the old KT266 chipset won't even support a clockspeed that high or a 166 bus speed, I don't believe.
