Athlon Slot 1 freezing with AMD 751/756 chipset

Anyone have any ideas on why my machine would freeze in 3d games, mostly flight simulators" FS2000,B17, fifa2000, and so on. i have a gigabyte GA-7IXE motherboard,GB Geforce 256 video, sb Live, 196mb Ram"PC133" have tried other ram , doesn't help. I have directX 8. Anyone know of any problems?

Thanks Vinny, I think that helped b17 didn't freeze like normal...
I think it may have been the IRQ router, which was not installed.

they that didn't work. still freezing.. Have to reboot can't CTRL ALT DEL sound keeps going though

allrighty, well from that webpage, you should have at least the following installed...

According to your 1st reply, you just installed the IRQ router 1.11.

Try installing the other two.

Oh and what drivers are you using for the Geforce 256?

You might want to try the latest detonator drivers that NVIDIA has officially posted.

yes I did install all the drivers from amd and I have the latest drivers from Nvidia, still freezes

Did you just put the system together? Is the stuff on your hard drive from a previous setup?
